Boondocking

While searching the net I came across this helpful site. In our travel experience we have boondocked successfully. Our favorite so far was a rest area in Kentucky. While this was a mere two hour rest we were invited by the attendant to spend the night. "Feel free to camp and explore." While nice as it sounds boondockimg ettiqute states one should not use jacks or generator. In our travels we have also boondocked at a Cracker Barrel. My fav! Belly full, safe and secure spot. The waitress was friends with the local police. She had them drive by at 2 am to check on us. She herself offered to check on us. We also slept in a rest area for which state I cant recall but there was a specific camp spot for sleeping. Our next boondocking adventure will be done very soon Feb. 2, 2015. Stay tuned for details.
