Manatee Viewing Center Apollo Beach, Florida
Good day! Today The Fun family visited the Manatee viewing center at the power plant in Apollo beach, Florida. While the weather was dreary the adventure was not. Upon arrival the main parking area was full. We were directed to the over flow parking not far away; about a 45 minute walk round trip. The walking path was well marked. We had fun walking, viewing and collecting shells along the way. (Maybe that's why it takes 45 minutes lol). The observation area was very busy. However, we were still able to get great pics and complete our video for our you tube channel; which you can find by searching The Fun family or Connie Ulman. There were hundreds of manatee and was told there can be up to three hundred at a time. While all the signs stated there are no bathrooms, no food and no drinks there actually were. Seeing as we arrived at 3 pm we only had an hour to explore. We plan to return when we have more time because we did not get to see everything. If ever in the area I encourage you to visit the Manatee Viewing Center. As of now the parking and admission is FREE! Doesn't get any better than that. God bless and have a great adventure.

Boondocking
http://traveltips.usatoday.com/rv-camping-florida-51978.html
While searching the net I came across this helpful site. In our travel experience we have boondocked successfully. Our favorite so far was a rest area in Kentucky. While this was a mere two hour rest we were invited by the attendant to spend the night. "Feel free to camp and explore." While nice as it sounds boondockimg ettiqute states one should not use jacks or generator. In our travels we have also boondocked at a Cracker Barrel. My fav! Belly full, safe and secure spot. The waitress was friends with the local police. She had them drive by at 2 am to check on us. She herself offered to check on us. We also slept in a rest area for which state I cant recall but there was a specific camp spot for sleeping. Our next boondocking adventure will be done very soon Feb. 2, 2015. Stay tuned for details.

let the blogging begin
Let the blogging begin and with that said let me introduce ourselves. We are a family of four plus one. Husband, wife, two teens and a dog. We travel around this big ole world in our fun family RV. A thirty foot Fleetwood travel trailer whom we appropriately named Charlie Brown. Charlie Brown is pulled about by our f250 who we call Lucy. Lucy, Charlie and the fun family have been on the road for about sixteen months. From Ohio to Texas to Florida. Seeing this is the first fun family blog it sums it up short and sweet. We look forward to having you along on our fun family adventures.
